Attract Talent is a marketing programme focused on talented individuals and showcasing the attractiveness of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region

Attract Talent provides a solution to requirements expressed by private companies in the region. It is structured around three pillars: A community of talented individuals centred around outstanding projects / An international canvassing and events programme / A state-of-the-art digital platform.

Attract Talent is an ambitious international programme aiming to raise awareness and recognition of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region as one of the most competitive and attractive regions in Europe. Created in June 2015 at the instigation of the Regional Council, this model is based primarily on the spontaneous mobilisation of private companies to boost business opportunities with communities of talented French-speaking and Francophile individuals, based around the world and with professional, familial, cultural or residential ties to our region.

By participating in Attract Talent, companies agree to communicate their particular skill requirements to the international talent community.
Attract Talent aims to become a regional service brand that benefits not only companies but also fields such as innovation, higher education, research, culture, and sport. It is supervised by a private-public governance structure in order to ensure proper delivery of service.

To become an exemplary region in Europe in terms of work-life balance

Attract Talent's mobilisation of more than 500 private companies in three years sends a strong signal to the worldwide talent community as to the collective commitment that prevails in our region today.

Talented individuals are mobile and ready to seize opportunities, but nevertheless maintain professional, personal, familial or residential ties to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, particularly if the area offers them a high-impact opportunity.

Attract Talent collates all such opportunities available, with or without remuneration, through the contribution of time, financial investment and advice. The programme offers a solution to the requirements expressed by companies for candidates with high-level profiles.

€25 billion of investment in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region

Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur aims to be the top region for start-ups in Europe, capable of offering an attractive work-life balance for those who choose the region as their base.

It has an impressive track record comprising various successful business projects, including Marseille Immunopole in immunological treatments, smart cities (Ecovalley and Euromediterranée), three French Tech projects in the cultural, tourism and digital fields, Henri Fabre in the mechanics, materials and processes of the future, System Factory in embedded intelligence, FlexGrid in intelligent electrical networks, and Tigre in risk management.

A HIGHLY VIBRANT REGION: the third-largest economic region of France (demographics and wealth) / 5 million inhabitants in 2012.

A ZEST FOR THE ENTREPRENEURIAL: the region with the second-highest number of new companies created / 1,740 companies with foreign capital - 72,000 jobs / 11.3% of the national total of new companies created 15 regional clusters (PRIDES - regional hubs for innovation and solidarity-based economic development / consortia of companies) including 10 competitiveness clusters.

A label aimed at promoting talent in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region

Private- and public-sector organisations taking part in the programme will receive an Attract Talent label in recognition of an individual and/or collective commitment to promoting the reputation of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

This label indicates the application of best practices and expertise in terms of search and selection, and welcoming and supporting talented individuals in the region. Each private- or public-sector organisation participating in the region's Attract Talent programme agrees to complete an online questionnaire to review its current situation with respect to talented individuals.

Based on this review, a "Talent Footprint" is established for each company, measuring certain key indicators in their procedures, referencing, communication, events, and support with respect to talented individuals. The companies subsequently undertake to develop their Talent Footprint at their own pace and according to their objectives. After 12 months of following the individual action plan, an Attract Talent label is awarded.
